Soupman Twin Cities, Minneapolis, MN

The Soup Nazi, or Soupman, character on Seinfeld was a permanent fixture in the pop culture of the 1990s and in most cases still remains in the lexicon today. The quotable words “No soup for you!” are recognizable even today as the popular rebuke that the Soup Nazi used when someone broke the arbitrary rules that governed his soup shop. In the show, the Soupman made the most delicious soup in all of New York City, some said the world.

It appears that the Soupman is not actually a wholly fictional character as he was based off a man named Al Yeganah. Yeganah founded the original Soup Kitchen International in 1984 and has, since then, been dishing out the world’s best soups. Since that time, the Soup Kitchen International soups have become the accepted standard for delicious soups all over the world. There is now an original Soupman restaurant, inspired by the man himself, in Minneapolis. The Mpls Original Soupman restaurant brings to the table all of the same exciting ingredients, services, and soups.

The wonderful tastes and commitment to excellence have been carried over from the original Soup Kitchen International in New York City. Bringing these amazing soup recipes to the Twin Cities from New York City is something that the original Mpls Soup Nazi restaurant was meant to do and will excel at.
